Notice of Annual General Meeting of Blind Graduates Forum of India

The Annual General Meeting of BGFI will be held on Saturday 14th July, 2018 at 3.00 pm at National
Association for the Blind (NAB), 11/12, Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan Road, Worli Seaface, Mumbai – 400 030.

to transact the following business –

AGENDA OF THE MEETING

  1. Minutes of the Last AGM – To confirm, adopt and sign the minutes of the last AGM held in 2017
  2. Matters arising out of the minutes – To discuss matters arising out of the minutes if any
  3. Annual Report – To adopt the Annual Report on the activities of the forum during the last year
  4. Annual Accounts – To adopt Annual Statement Accounts of the forum which shall be presented by the
    Hon Treasurer
  5. Appointment of the Auditors – To appoint Auditors to audit the accounts of the forum for the year
    April 2018 – March 2019
  6. Election of the new Executive Council (As per the notice given below)
  7. Any other Business – To take up any other business with the permission of the chair

Notice for Election of the Executive Council

As per the above AGM agenda, notice is hereby given to all the members of BGFI of an election to be
held on Saturday 14th July 2018 from 3.00 pm at National Association for the Blind (NAB), 11/12, Khan
Abdul Gaffar Khan Road, Worli Seaface, Mumbai – 400 030.

where the new Executive Council for the Blind Graduates Forum of India will be elected.

Posts Contested

The election is being held for the following posts in the Executive Council – 1 post for President, 1 post
for Vice-President, 3 posts for Honorary Secretary, 1 post for Honorary Treasurer and 6 posts for
Executive Council members. All of the above posts can be held only by Life or Ordinary members with
the exception of the post of Honorary Treasurer which may be held by an Associate Member or
Associate Life Member also.

Invitation for Nominations

Nominations are invited from all members of BGFI for each of the above posts. A member can apply for
only one post. All nominations should be sent in writing in the prescribed format

the candidate should be Life or Ordinary members of BGFI.

All nominations should reach the above address by 3rd July 2018. The scrutiny of all the nominations will
be completed by 7th July 2018

The last date for withdrawal of nominations is5th July 2018. All communications regarding nominations –
i.e. submission or withdrawal thereof – must be provided in writing.

Election Process

Mr. PadmaKumarWadiarhas been nominated as the Election Officer to oversee the election process. All
Life Members and Ordinary Members are invited to participate

in the election process and cast their vote for each of the posts. Kindly note that proxy will not be
allowed and the members are required to be physically present to cast their votes. All other rules and
clarifications regarding the election process will be discussed on election-day. Members residing outside

Mumbai who wish to participate in the election process need to make their own travel and
accommodation arrangements.
